A question for anti illegal immigration democrats?
There are many people who suggest they are liberal and democrats on board here that also oppose illegal immigration. Since the democratic party is no better then the republican party at putting an end to illegal immigration and it could be construed the "far left" is actually in favor of open borders and amnesty...where do you guys and gals fall? Is it an issue that would cause you to switch parties?

A recent case in england caused an outcry when a gurkha who fought for britain in the 2nd world war and won?
the victoria cross, applied to live in britain for the last days of his life. apparantly he was in his late 80s and seriously ill, the british authorities turned him down stating that he didnt have enough connections with the UK to qualify for residency (what other connections than winning the VC did they want), yet they allow illegal immigrants to settle and are given UK citizenship within months having contributed nothing to this country. After a public outcry by the British people , the former gurkha was allowed to come to britain, and given a place in a care home. Does any other country treat their own heroes like **** or is it just britain

A simple comparison of walls.?
If we build a wall to protect our borders, some have said we are being offensive, or that we do not have that right. They have even said that we are all Gods children and should all be treated as such and that man has no right to define borders. That is what has been said on YA about a US/Mexico Wall. Vatican City is the home of the Catholic Church. Of all places in the world this is where Gods will is heard the strongest,(supposedly). The Church preaches tolerance, that is a basis for many advocating open borders. Why is Vatican City protected by a Wall, why do they have the most highly trained and loyal military force for protectors, (The Swiss Guard)? If the home of the most powerful church in the world, where one can expect sanctuary is walled and guarded by military, how can our wall be concidered anything but a logical and prudent step for our own security? Doesn't God want vatican City to open its borders and give freely to all who come there needing help?

my mom came hear legally, she lived w/o her mom for years while her mom raised the money to bring her and her siblings over the border. im just wondering, if they just more than trippled the price to get in, then doesnt that discourage other people to get here legally? i no it waz kinda a necessity to rase the prices, but could they have gotten the money from somewhere else?

Why dont we first. Make it illegle, and crack down on hireing immigrants without proper papers? And second, actually have an organization that does thier job in removing illegals? To me it's a no brainer, if you dont follow OUR law, especially when it is at OUR expense, we need to enforce the proper punishment. DONT HIRE ILLEALS!

A turkish resident wants to be at the birth of his baby in the UK.?
I am in the UK. A neighbour of mine's daughter has gone to live with her boyfriend in Turkey. She has since found out that she is pregnant. After discussions, she has decided to have the baby back in the UK. But her boyfriend wants to come over to be at the birth. My question is, what procedure and what documentation would he need to be able to stay here for a couple of months after the birth.

A wall, more laws, deportation... None of it will work so why not try something that would?
Take away the reason they come here in the first place, jobs. If we crack down on business that illegally hire undocumented people, they will not come here as it would be no easier for them to live with no job as it is for us.

A Warning To American Women?
Beware of marrying any foriegner, especially the ones who speak English. I married a Brit out of nothing more than love. he was a slick talker with a dreamy accent and beautiful face. He conned me and some of my family members out of money and basically my life! I am not a stupid woman, just he was a damn good liar! I withdrew my sponsorship, he lost his SS card and work authorization but , as most con artist do, when I threw him out and filed for a divorce, he found a wokan that was NOT at all attractive and about 20 years older than himself, In other words a desperate woman. She took him in and he lied to her also and led hert to believe all sorts of horrible things about me. I tried to warn that stupid woman, she did not listen and he got deported about a year later, leaving her with all his bills and all alone. I knew this would happen. She even went as far as to sponsor him and finacially take care of him while he hired an immigration attorney to file his appeal.

Will it ever be possible someday? Wouldn't it be a beautiful thing to give to our desendants?
