Do hispanics manufacture allegations of "white racism" to mask their own bigotry toward whites and America?
First of all, I have no prejudice toward hispanics. About half the women I've dated are from Cuba, Dominican Republic, Puerto Rico, Guatemala, Colombia, Venezuela, Argentina, Brazil and Spain.
I almost married my girlfriend from Spain.
There are hispanics who come here and assimilate, and those who clique-ishly live pretty much exclusively within their own spanish-speaking subculture, referring contemptuously to "gringos", oblivious to the fact that these same derisively-labelled gringos have opened their country to them, and given them the same education and career opportunities as any American citizen.
They bemoan racism while choosing not to assimilate, not to learn english, or socialize with Americans. I experienced this memorably at one party I attended with my girlfriend, where I was the only native-born American there , but I was treated as if I was the alien there, and not them.
Do I deserve to be called an American?
Ok. My name is Zain. I moved to the United States from Pakistan when I was 10 months old. So, I grew up in America. Since I'm 13 years old now, I moved to the U.S. in 1994 and I have been living here ever since(2007), I'm in the naturalization process right now, I will be a U.S. Citizen in 2009(when I'm like 15 1/2 yrs old). Does it matter if I wasn't born here because I grew up here and was raised here all of my life except for 10 months, I even said my first words here like "mommy" and "daddy". So my point is: I grew up here, said my first words here, lived here basically all my life, so do I deserve to be called and considered an American?

I'm about to take the Citizenship Government and History of the United States Test. I downloaded the guide from the Immigration & Naturalization Department website, which includes about 100 very easy questions. Do I need to study any other guides? Should I expect different questions from the ones I downloaded?
Thank you
Do I need a passort to fly from the US to the Dominican Republic or can I use my passport application status?
I will be flying from ATL to the Dominican Republic this Friday (8/17/07) and I still have not received my passport. I was told that I can enter/exit the US and DR by having a copy of the passport application status page (as proof of applying for passport), a copy of my birth certificate and picture ID. Is this true? Has anyone recently flown from the US to DR without a passport..
Please advise. Thanks!
