How does the "censorship" on this website work?
I have attempted to post a question twice, and it doesn't appear on the immigration link, but it does appear in my questions asked. I have asked for and received responses from a few people regarding this and they also don't know what's going on. If the moderator is going to delete question(s) for whatever reason, shouldn't the poster at least be given the courtesy of telling him and explaining why?? Has anybody else had this problem, and what did they do about it?

How does the 14th Admendment protect illegals?
The 14th Admendment is the answer I get when I ask why the illegals are receiving free government services and why they feel that American owes them something. I've seen local news showing illegals marching in the streets and waving a Mexican and they are demanding their rights. Rights to what exactly? All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. No State shall make or enforce any law which shall abridge the privileges or immunities of citizens of the United States; nor shall any State deprive any person of life, liberty, or property, without due process of law; nor deny to any person within its jurisdiction the equal protection of the laws.

How does the child become British?
She was born in England. They say nationality goes through the mother unless the parents are married. Mother is EU citizen (no, not eastern european!) so she has the passport of the mother's homeland ... and her English dad's surname. Will she become British if the parents get married? Or what else would have to happen for her to acquire British citizenship?

how does the government choose immigrants from different countries?
I was told by a history professor that they choose people who are either educated or have money, that the US government only picks people who prove that they can contribute to american society. Is this true?

How does the immigrant visa process work (in France)?
About 6 months ago I moved to France and married a French national. But unfortunately several months ago my husband lost his job and he hasn't been able to find another one (it happens). We've now decided to move to United States since I would have prefered to continue my higher education in the states and we feel there would be more job opportunities for him there as well. I've done a little bit of research and realized that he has to apply for an immigrant visa before we can move to United States. I was wondering then if anyone is familiar with the immigrant visa process in France and if they could give us some general advice? I'm a little worried since we don't have that much money right now (I'm a student and he's unemployed). We're basically living off my miserly salary, the little savings that we have and our parents' help. Would that have a strong effect on our application? And also generally how long does the whole process take? Thank you for all of your advice!

How does the recent expansion of the EU make it easier for Bulgarians to immigrate to the UK?
I'm confused as to why it would make it easier for them to move here? Surely it would just be the same process even if they weren't part of the Eu? I'd really appreciate it if someone could help, it would help me for my geography DME exam. Thanks x

How does the U.S check each individuals criminal record upon entry?
Surely- one could get around this, by applying for a passport in a different country (for example- my parents are Greek, which allows me to gain a Greek passport)... Currentley have a British one- spent criminal records listed.

How easy is it to marry my foreign girlfriend in America?
Basically, my girlfriend and I are considerring getting married. The complication is that she is not from America and we would want to live in America together, at least for a few years. If we do not marry the next time we return to America, it is unlikely we will get another chance for a while. I know all about green card marriages, and how they grant citizenship, but what I don't know is the law. How easy is it to move to the States??
Hi, I split up with my husband 2 years ago. He has always been disatisfied with his life and always a dreamer who thinks the grass is greener else where. He is in car sales and is always jumping from one job to another..He told me 2 days ago he was going to Dallas and thats where he went with an hours notice. I have since found out he has gone over to find a job and is planning to move there! Problem is we have a 3 year old and I am so worried he is going to up and leave him. I have refused to go with him as I have my own life and a good job here in the uk. How easy will it be for him to actually make the move or find a company to vouch for him??
