According to MORI poll 61% of kashmiris want to be indian citizens, while 8% want to be pakistani citizens.
so roughly 30% want independence...this makes me wonder how can u call those fighting the indian army as freedom fighters if they are going against the wants of the majority of the population of the kashmiri people? while i doubt how many of them are really kashmiris?

He was 9 years old at the time (he's now 23) and as soon as he arrived, his father filed an I-130 for him, which was approved. We thought his whole process had gone to waste because he never recieved an interview letter (which was all he was waiting for) After that, his parents did nothing to get informed. We recently fount out that his prior approval may help us out this time around because I am helping him become a permanent resident (legally) Is this true or does the fact he was approved previously not matter? ***I only want ANSWERS, not comments, of people who can actually help. So if all you want is to say ignorant remarks or suggestions of how he should go back instead, don't waste your time... Better yet, don't waste mine!

My question is this, my status for the last 2 years is F-1(student) and I got married over a month ago. In the meantime I was working(even though I wasn't allowed by the Law as a foreign student) but I wasa paying all my taxes for the period.My question is this should I state this on my application for I-130, I-485 andmost importantly I-864. There are 2 reasons why I am asking this: First- on I-485 is saysthat people who worked In US without USCIS authorization are not eligible to fill this application; Second my wife didn't make over the poverty guidline last year and I did so can I sponsor myself or do we still need a joint sponsor but neot myself since I worked without authorization. I hope that you understood the question and that you can help me fast since I need to file by the end of the week since the fees are going to increase around 60 percent. Thanks

My friend is currently employed here in the US and his employer petitioned him (EB3). He is married and has a 5 year old son which are both in his home country. If the visa number becomes available what options does he have in bringing his family here? Can they adjust status at the same time? Thanks!! ^_^v

My sister has recently married her UK citizen boyfriend. They have been a couple since 2001. He has come to America many times and she has also travelled to England. They have a four year old son together. The last time he came to America, he was due to return to England after two weeks, but then extended his stay for another month and purchased another airline ticket. He had a well-paid job to return to in England, which also provided accomodation who were understanding. After he extending his stay, my sister and he decided for him to stay longer, and paid to change the plane ticket for another date. They did this two more times, until they decided that he should probably stay with my sister and nephew. Now he has been in America illegally for a little more than a year from when his Visa Waiver expired. Now they are married, can they apply for an adjustment of status and all the other papers so he can stay legally with his family?

Ok, I have several questions regarding the Adjustment of Status (to be a permanent resident). 1. How long approximately do you have to wait from the day you send out the applications until the day you are called for the interview? 2. Will your case be approved/denied BEFORE or AFTER that interview? Lets say, your forms are incomplete.. will they just deny it right there and then or ask you to complete it or what? 3. What kind of questions do they ask you anyway? I heard some interviewers gave people a hard time... Is it really THAT scary? 4. If your case is denied, can you try to apply again? It's frustrating how we have to pay lots of money for the applications and not knowing whether or not you will be approved... *sigh*

Advice for my brother in-law?
He was brought here as a child illegally, and has lived here in the U.S since. He is now married to my sister. They have been together for more than six years. They have a child and everything is great but he is not a Citizen. He doesnt have a job or cant get one because he doesnt have any documents and doesnt want to use forged ones.
