I am liberal and a democrat. I favor any "compromise" solution that is not amnesty and is better than what we have now. There are issues that I am democratic on, and, issues that I favor republicans. For example, I hate that we are still in Iraq, and am Pro-choice, but, I WON'T give up my 45 caliber. So, on that I agree with republicans. And, no, this is not a big enough issue for me to "switch" parties.

This issue alone would not cause me to switch parties. But, I feel the Democrats and the Republicans have completely let the American people down in many ways and I switched to the Independent Party several years ago.

OK, this is what all of us who are against illegal immigration will do to let those who fail to do anything that we mean business. But we all have to do it. When we go out for dinner or grocery store/supermarket and the bill comes, we will tell the waiter/waitress/cashier something like, "excuse me, but could you please take this check back and quadruple the amount I have to pay because I refuse to be a HYPOCRITE and benefit in anyway from the work illegals do in order to keep the prices down. I am a person of integrity and do not just say things without meaning them!" So are we all ready to do this. This is going to be good, I could just imagine the reaction of those dumb politicians who just say things without taking a real stand.

it was the conservatives that tried to win the last election by bring up illegals cause they were a greater threat right after 9/11! ,,, they were chanting osama bin ladens name when they were watching soccer games but we did not kick them out. but it was not until the last elections and the conservatives were losing that they brought up illegals that have no vote!
