4 years after getting green card? I think you apply 6 months before, I'm pretty sure I saw that at uscis.gov but you can go there to check.

They say it takes an average of 6 months once you send in the form, but a background check sometimes has to fill gaps in information or runs into potential issues, and it can take longer.

I think you should apply when you can READ< SPEAK AND WRITE ENGLISH.

And, get a job and be a productive member of this country and not live off MY tax dollars.
