Can the problem of illegal immigration be rooted in racial problems in Mexico?
Answers:
What problems do Illegal Immigrants in general bring to the USA and how can we fix them?
i get where you are going...and in a way, i do tend to agree with you. it's widely known in mexico that the lighter you are, the richer and more successful you are. i can only assume this is "racially" motivated...sort of twisting it into a "classist" type thing since technically everyone is actually the same race in mexico (for the most part.) the darker you are, the more difficult your life is, it seems, in mexico. your family has less money to begin with, so you can't go to good private schools, can't get into a good college (or pay for it) and as a result, can't get a good job. on top of that, your parents most likely didn't go to school, which means they most likely don't support it, and just assume that "hard work" means labor, and not education. these are of course, the mexicans we see in the US...because there really are ample opportunities for educated mexicans to make money IN mexico, and these mexicans do not need to come to the US...these mexicans are also very light skinned. What Place in the largest countries of the world...?
The problem of illegal immigration from a Mexico standpoint is rooted in the Mexican government. The government, whether it is Vincente Fox, or their new President Calderon, etc. is corrupt and inept. They keep the people down, while the government and others keep the wealth and mismanage the resources. The conditions in Mexico would be significantly better if the Mexican government functioned properly.
What makes illegals so special?
In the animal kingdom, the survivor is first the smarter,
second the stronger. if you are in neither category, you are a looser.
Light skin doesn't make any one smarter or stronger, then must be something else,What could that be??
If a green card holder applies for his unmarried son (over 21 age), how long is the processing time?
Your question isn't quite clear. Are you trying to allege that all the social problems in Mexico can be scapegoated as "white racism" within Mexico by its white population?
If you are, it's way too small a percentage of the population to do that:
From Wikipedia:
"Ethnography
See also: Indigenous peoples in Mexico
Mexico is ethnically diverse, and the constitution defines the country to be a "pluricultural nation".
Mestizos (those of European and Amerindian ancestry) form the largest group, making up to 60%–75% of the total population.
The percentage of Amerindians, called indigenous peoples (indígenas) in Mexico, is estimated to be between 12% (pure Amerindian) or 30% (predominantly Amerindian). Indigenous peoples are considered the foundation of the Mexican pluricultural nation and therefore enjoy self-determination in certain areas. Indigenous languages are also considered "national languages" and are protected by law.
Ethnic Europeans make up 9% and 15% of the population, mostly descendants of the first Spanish settlers, although many have German, French, Italian, Portuguese, Irish, Polish, Romanian, Russian and British ancestry; many are found in major cities after the waves of immigration that brought many Europeans at the end of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, along with some Canadians and Euro-Americans from the United States.
Mexico also received a number of Lebanese, Turkish, Chinese, Japanese, Koreans and Filipinos.
Afro-Mexicans, mostly of mixed ancestry, live in the coastal areas of Veracruz, Tabasco and Guerrero."
(i.e., give me a freaking break! )
Did you hear about all the flip-flopping going on?
I hadn't thought of it before but now that you mention it...they usually do make fun of the 'inditos.'
But those discriminated upon...a lot of them don't even speak Spanish, and most of the illegals I see from Mexico do.
I am an Indian resident who wants to work and live and eventually settle down in Singapore.?
If your questions is, if your lighter then your relatives or other Mexicans is that where all this racial indifference start I would say no, we are Mexicans because our family descents have come from Mexico, but we are mixed just like everybody else, why did my grandfather have blue eyes and white skin and my grandmother dark skin and dark eyes, am a mutt my great great parents came from Spain, and my great grand mother was Indian, wow, would believe the possibilities, am light skin dark eyes dark hair, but my mother is like polish, she super white and light hair with light brown eyes, my nephew was born with blue eyes and white and light hair, geeez where is this going right? well it doesn't matter what your color is Americans have discriminated not just against themselves but against the whole world where does this end? No it will not end, but there are no stupid questions just stupid people. ;D
I personally don't understand your questions. But, let me give you some hard facts.
The problem of illegal immigration is multi fold. It starts with history, nothing to do with the who owned what but with the country of Mexico itself.
When the USA became a country it progressed into the Iron age we build the country from railroads by ways, everything that make this country today basically we progressed into a modern society. Mexico on the other hand stayed in the farming social society. They did nothing, the cities under the French had a start and were in the processes but they were kicked out.
They had many civil wars over a 100 yrs and never advanced in modern society. Lending to a corrupt government that the will or care of the citizens changed nothing.
Mexico is on the downside of the economical curve today with no desire to change anything. Why should they, it works for them. The rich gets richer the uneducated and criminals are sent here and the government get billions of remittance every year from the legal and illegals living here.
Best of two world for them.
I gave a simple background of history but facts.
To be on the fair let me add one very important fact.
NO country under Spanish rule has ever been economically independent. Spain only somewhat today because it is under the EU. It has much to do with the culture of the people and the demographics where these countries are located. People who live closer to the equator are less innovated people which leads to less economical independents.
It is fact just by tracing history people that came from colder climates ( away from the equator) are more thinking and innovative people for them to survive. Those were the first immigrants to the USA. 300yrs ago. Making this country what it is today.
