Why do those who sypathize with them so quick to call peaceful people racists and zenophobes? I think it's a good idea. Let them go to their native countries and destroy their own neighborhoods and hold protests there, since they don't appreciate their host countries. Makes you wonder why they left their own homeland. It would depend on the crime. If it were putting an explosive vest on and blowing yourself up in a crowd, I would include the extended family. If it were any crime, that seems a bit arbitrary.

this is just stupid law. how about if only one member of the family do this so called "terrorist act" and the rest are hard working say doctors, nurses, policeman or in the army. it would be funny for one of the army commander in iraq to say "hey you boy, the immigration is gana expell you from the USA (that is after u spend ur time in iraq, risking ur life...etc etc... because your brother have done some terrorist act.

We already do deport criminals when they are caught. It's unfair to deport their whole families, though, if the family members are on legal visas. If the family members are dependents on the visa of the criminal, then yes, they should be deported, too.
I think the whole family thing is a bit harsh, but with as broken of an immigration system as most Western countries have, I guess we have to accept some half-***ed measures now and then as long as they'll get rid of SOME of the foreign criminals.
