Has Senator Craig’s airport restroom adventure hurt immigration?
The Roll Call newspaper reported Monday that Craig pleaded guilty earlier this month to misdemeanor disorderly conduct after he was arrested in June at a Minnesota airport by a plainclothes police officer investigating lewd conduct complaints in a men’s public restroom.
In a statement, Craig denied any wrongdoing and said he regretted the guilty plea.
It is unclear what effect the arrest will have on Craig’s career, but it will likely hurt his clout in Congress.
Craig and Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., are trying to shore up support for the legislation that would allow agricultural workers to obtain legal status.
The bill — known as AgJobs — was part of a major immigration package that failed in the Senate earlier this year. Feinstein and Craig are hoping to pass AgJobs as a separate bill.

I understand that he is the only representative, out of four Republicans, who supported amnesty. And he got a lot of flack from his constituents for his support. I'd have to say NO. His resignation might actually help immigration. But sure ain't gonna help illegal immigration.

Not unless the person who replaces him is against it, in which case it will hurt by that one vote. Whether anyone is willing to get behind Ag Jobs before 2008 is a different question, but I think the lines have pretty much been drawn.

What does Senator Craig being a pervert have to do with immigration, beyond the fact that he supported the Senate's piece of garbage amnesty bill? From his own statement he "stepped across the aisle" and agreed with Teddy Kennedy. HE'S A PRO-AMNESTY WEASEL!
I hope he resigns QUICKLY and the people of Idaho get someone intelligent in there!
