Well if he comes from a country that can get a tourist visa then problem solved. He can visit for the person to stay he needs to be a legal immigrant. If not to hell with him.I have gone through years of the immigration process with my wife and I am a US born veteran citizen. Our governemnt cares more for Mexicans than for its own citizens and now we are in full scale revolt at the actions of the sell outs in the congress white house and senate.
Your "friend" better get his act together and go to the back of the line. I am sick to my guts of seeign illegals dancing on every street corner while I have to pay thousands and wait in lines. I had to wait a YEAR for my wife to join me legally in this country.

Just because one has a child that maybe a US citizen that doesn't give any rights to the non US parent or allow that person to stay in the US.
That is just law.
Unfortunately the child stays here, and the parent if deported has to go back.
