Are Native Americans Really NATIVE?

Or were they just nomads? I've heard a lot of stuff on it, but never really knew. I don't really think they are, but are they?

What is the citizenship of a child born in Mexico of one parent Mexican and the other American?

Native and nomads are not antonyms. Native Americans are called like that because they were here before the New Americans, i.e. Europeans who chose the new continent to live in.

Of course Native Americans are native.

Native Americans aren't really NATIVE or indigenous peoples from North America. they just got here first.

How long can a US citizen stay abroad?

Has anybody heard of the illegals that shot out the window at 7-11?

Creator placed OUR peoples upon the Turtle Islands to live on it, live with its animal inhabitants, and protect the same with peace and harmony. That is exactly the way it was prior to the arrival of the Europeans. Anyone other the the 500 American Indian Nations are merely immigrants. The Europeans were the ORIGINAL ILLEGAL IMMIGRANTS!

I married a Cameroonian in 5/05, filed for green card in 8/05 - when will we see any signs of life from USCIS?

i think you resent their claim to this land and would like to degrade it or nullify it with this line of reasoning.
maybe youre all into christian creationism but as far as science goes, we all came from africa.
but more specifically, a nomad wonders. native americans stayed in their areas and traveled for food and pastures.
so yeah, they are native

I am USA citzn, taxpyr, why do I have to pay for illegals?

I guess that depends on how you define a native? Native Americas are just that, born upon their native land. I suppose Europeans and Asians wandered into Europe and Asia as well. All of our origins are traceable to Africa, perhaps we are all Africans?

I want to immigrate my mother to Canada and I am Canadian with good record how to call at the earlist?

Ummm, yea, they are natives to the land. Really they are indigenous people of Mexico before the mixture of Spanish blood with indigenous which is what a Mexican is. This isnt true for all native americans but is true for most of them, this can be proven through their languages as well as culture.

Why do many people think that it's easy to come to live in the US legally?

Read the Bible about the Tower of Babel.

Have you seen any amnesty marches lately?

It is believed that the peoples known as 'native americans' today walked over the Bering Strait, between Russia and Alaska, when it was an ice bridge.

Interestingly, when native americans sued the Smithsonian for possession of bones found in a burial cave out west, DNA testing showed those 40,000 year old bones were NOT related to the current native americans.

How far back do you want to go? When Columbus came here to steal and commit mass murder of the people of the Americas, there were lots of people here, well established. As you know, that's 1492.

I think they're 'native.'

Ultimately, all humans came from Africa, as best we can tell. Then, we spread out a bit.

Is NAFTA a threat to the environment?

They came from Asia.

Would you report your the business you work for if you knew they employed illegal immigrants deliberately?

Well, if they were born on this land, then they are native Americans. I was born in Michigan, so I'm a native Michigander. I was born in the United States of America, so I AM a native American (if that block is available on a form, I always check it). What ever country someone is born in, that person is a native of that country. Actually, our "AMERICAN INDIANS/NATIVE AMERICANS" came from ASIA originally. And if you accept the story of Creation, then ORIGINALLY we ALL started in the same place..possibly between the Tigris and Euphrates Rivers or in that area.per Genesis.

Is this the end of our borders?

"Native" Americans as defined by today's cultural paradigms are no more "native" to the North American continent than the subsequent European settlers that arrived. They simply got here earlier. They are immigrants, just like the rest of us.

Historically, its not even likely that they are the first to arrive on the continent.

Illegals wanting to takeover southwest us?

How did Indians get to the Americas?
A: Well, Native American tradition is that Indians were always here. Most of the scientific evidence is that Indian ancestors came from Asia in prehistoric times, when mammoths and other ancient animals did. This would have had to happen more than 20,000 years ago, when there was still a land bridge there. No human culture has good records of what it was doing 20,000 years ago, so perhaps we're both right.
: If Native Americans migrated from Asia, then they're not really 'Native' at all, right?
A: Even if Native Americans migrated from Asia, they have been here 20-30,000 years longer than Europeans. Whether or not you call that 'native' is up to you. But the Americas have been inhabited longer than England (12-15,000 years) or northern Europe (10,000 years).

How can I find a job in the US so I could move over? (I'm from Belgium)?

Personally in this day and age I find no reason it should matter.

If they've been here for many *thousands* of years, I think that is far long enough for the environment to take effect and mold people into being it's Native inhabitants.
