Can I travel with my passport stamped?

I lost my green card and am getting it replaced. Once I get my passport stamped, can I travel outside of the country with it?

Thanks

a permanent resident of the US with a alien Number

I am from india and planning to relocate to dubai for 5 years.how much can i save?

Why haven't you applied for citizenship?

Why do foreigners beg and would die to come to America?

the truth...
Not you can't travel out of the country with out your GC.

The passport is like using an Identification only.
The green card is the proof of your legal status.
And with out the proof of your legal status, you won't be able to entry back in legally.

How does someone who was deported reenter the U.S. legally?

Yes, as long as it says it's evidence of your permanent resident status you can travel with it. Once they stamp it and it has all your info, including your A#, you'll be fine.

Have you ever observed an illegal alien in a Huffy Beach Cruiser in Santa Monica Beach?

Check the State Department web site for 'travel documents' to find the answer.

If by "stamped" you mean a temporary I-551 stamp, showing that you have applied for a replacement green card, then yes you can travel outside the US and that stamp will be valid to allow you to re enter the USA.
