Hey, I feel for you and don't listen to some of these heartless people that only think about themselves!Thats funny because we have been in a great depression ever since illegal Mexicans have been bringing this country down! I don't see anything bad happening once more of them leave.
Your parents, if that is the case, knew they were breaking the law and should have prepared you for what is the inevitable. Without you we will be a great nation as we have always been. We will definitely prosper again once we can get rid of the drain on the economy. And the threat of the great depression will finally be over.
It is not immigrants that I am against. It is ILLEGAL immigrants, those that come into our country and expect certain rights that I am against. Yes, my grandparents came from Ireland, but they had a work visa through Ellis Island worked hard and became American citizens. I had other French grandparents that crossed the Canadian border worked hard and became American citizens. I agree, that most Americans have become lazy and hire those less fortunate, to do tiresome work. However, I am prepared to do it myself or hire only those that have gone through the American system of becoming a citizen, before I promote something most other countries would never allow. For example, if I were to cross over to Mexico or Canada without legalization, where would I end up? Dead or in a jail. So, why should America become a sanctuary to those who would not do the same for me???

A LOT of people work in the sun and sweat! I would be one of those people. I'm not in a field, but does that make a difference to you? You only point out 'no white or black people are in the fields' BFD! I work in the hot freakin sun every day and I work hard. There are a lot of white or black or should I say NON - illegals doing the same. Oh, let me also mention I am a woman. I have a family to support!

You've been hearing to much propaganda. Yes Americans will work out in the hot sun all day for a good pay check, we always have.
The price of goods will not go up very much (if at all) because labor costs are only a small fraction of the total cost of production.
It is the illegals themselves who are to blame for their troubles, if they hadn't come illegally and there was an ACTUAL labor shortage the US would have handed out more visas as they were required.
And the FACT is that labor shortages are good for the economy. It forces companies to pay their employees well, see to their safety and other needs. Companies who can't do this, go out of business and if by chance a needed business (hospitals for example) has trouble competing, the government has the budget to help them out with all the taxes that are paid by employees instead of supporting welfare recipients.

I'm sorry to hear that your parents might be deported, but it's not our fault that they broke our law. As for our country needing Mexicans, I agree they enrich our country when they participate, but we don't need illegal immigrants. If you haven't heard, we are now preparing to bring in legal immigrants to work the farms. I'm sure Thai immigrants are just as capable of picking lettuce.
