Notice: Immigration laws and regulations can change very quickly, and you should not rely upon this article to reflect the latest changes in the law. Obtaining a non-immigrant visa can be complicated, and visa applications may be denied. While many individuals successfully navigate the application process on their own, it is often beneficial to utilize a qualified immigration attorney.
If I Want To Immigrate, Either Temporarily or Permanently, To The United States or Canada, Should I Apply By Myself?
While most people will want to apply for travel visas on their own, many potential immigrants will benefit from consulting an attorney before applying for residence in the United States or Canada. An attorney may be able to help you avoid being classified within a category of immigrant for whom the annual quota has been filled, or to apply in a category which will increase the chance of your being admitted. not complete

According to the PEW Hispanic Research Center most illegal immigrants are gainfully employed when they make that decision to come to the United States illegally. They list their primary reason as reuniting with family.
If the illegal immigrant were from around the Darfur region I could agree with starving and yes their are people starving in this world but we do not have a significant number of illegal immigrants from those countries.
I do not doubt that most want a better life, but starving is going a bit overboard. As for a better life, is a better life at the expense of others right? In my opinion, no.

Did you know they are pushing another amnesty?
What was the question?
That site contains some information but since the advice is "consult an attorney" that implies there is far too much detail to the immigration process to discuss in a simple answer.
If your family is literally starving, you will need to remedy that with your current means (find some way to work for enough to feed your family where you are - even to the point of hunting, gathering and even leftovers/castoffs from a restaurant or market) since the immigration process is too long to be an immediate fix.
If you are intending to come to the US or Canada, I wish you luck. I am certain you will find the time and effort worthwhile.

What is the question?
Is it possible to get a green card when my American wife and I get married? if so, how? : )?
I don't know why they would think this country is safe with safe food. Plant a garden. Hunt squirrels.
How can an illegal immigrant who overstay their visa get legal status?
well gid if my family was starving and i had already tried and was unsuccessful in finding a job to be able to provide for them in my own country i definitely would think about immigrating and would be very likely to actually do it even if i could not do it legally .
i believe that most people would like to think that if they ever found themselves in that situation they would be given the chance right away to immigrate , however in reality that just doesn't happen and even if it was easy for us to do because we have an education or because we have skills the same would be much more difficult if we were people from the so called third world . yes an immigration lawyer would be a good option , yes doing it the " right way " would be so too but just the fact that in the first place u need a job and don't have it or that ur actual job doesn't pay that much ur automatically would not have the money to Immigrate with the help of a lawyer .
people may say whatever they want such as why don't u come legally , why don;t u do this or that but if they for a moment could be in the shoes of those which they accuse of not doing enough then im pretty sure they would not judge and talk the same way ..
not every immigrant has a starving family but most who come to the USA come because they have already tried so much and had already work so hard an have been unsuccesful . many others because they already have family members in the USA , there is so many reason but yet the opportunities to actually being able to do so right are not so many .
Where can u get green card in lubbuck texas?
It sounds like from your Bi line you justify that if something you want becomes to complicated in the legal process it would we okay to break the law. You use a starving family to push of for your view to break the law.
Reality if someone starving I really don't thing you are going to travel hundreds of miles to get food or spend anytime on the website. Sell your computer.
So your whole hypothetical question makes no sense. But, some of the answers were great. If you can't find a squirrel, try a rat.
