Okay, I am someone who actually has a document with my picture on it with a warning that it is illegal to duplicate it. It's my Naturalization Certificate. I was young but my family had to wait for a quota to come to the US. I believe in the melting pot. However, it is a melting pot. The perception is the lack of willingness of the Hispanic illegal aliens to merg into this culture. The Irish, Italians and Poles all had the same prejudices until they became more mainstream.
As a Asian, we even refer to old school Asians as FOB's (fresh off the boat) and tend to be embarrassed by them. Does Americanized Hispanics feel the same thing?

I would see a group of people trying to come in and finding more imaginative ways to enter the US. It would be even more expensive to get here, but people are still willing to do it. I see people still complaining about it, and the government unwilling to do anything.
