Further review status after immigration interview. no more documents needed. should we be concerned?

hi there.
i'm a u.s citizen. my wife and i went to the interview today in san francisco. went well but left with a letter that states:" your case has been continued for further review". however, he told us he needed to pass it on to his supervisor and that no other documents were needed.

Should we be concerned?
thank you very much for your help

Can I get into Canada with a American Visa?

If they deny it, you will get a letter and have 30 days to file for a reconsideration. If that happens, get a lawyer immediately. On the other hand, the adjudication officer may just need some guidance on some technical point and you will get a letter saying to come in for your card.

In either event, worrying won't help. Wait for the letter and then act.

Questions about immigration?

Well, it means it didn't sail through, but it may really only need to go as far as the supervisor. If it needs to go further, then I'd get worried, at least on a timing basis.
